The maximum volume of any flammable liquid with a flash-point below 32°C that may be stored in a flame-resistant cabinet within a workroom is 50 litres regardless of the total cabinet capacity.
Typical flammable liquids often stored in a flame resistant cabinet include inks, cleaning fluids, aerosols, paints & thinners.
Part of certain risk assessments may specify that flammable liquids must be segregated and stored in the original containers to minimise risk of leakage.
Our cabinets are designed to maintain integrity for 30 minutes. These cabinets are flame resistant not fire proof. They meet the requirements of HSE Guidelines for the storing flammable liquids.
